Benoit Simard

Benoit Simard was born in Lac-Saint-Jean (Quebec, Canada). After he has obtained a master degree in psychology from the University of Sherbrooke in 1973, he has exercised his profession and has taught psychology until 1980. Then he devoted himself entirely to painting, which he developed as a self-taught artist. He has presented many exhibitions during his career in the most important cities of the province of Quebec and also in Antibes, New York, Calgary, Paris and La Spezia in Italy. In 1974, Benoit Simard was awarded a medal for his composition at the occasion of the International «Grand Prix» of Saint-Paul-de-Vence in France.
