Lucie Theroux
Born in New Brunswick and raised in a military family, Lucie Théroux grew up moving frequently, developing a deep connection with animals from a young age, who became her refuge.
A self-taught artist since 1998, she began her practice with airbrushing before exploring more traditional techniques. Her work, often characterized by black backgrounds, highlights the fragility of species and seeks to convey life and emotion through their gaze.
Committed to animal welfare, she uses her art to raise awareness of environmental issues and poaching, leaving a meaningful visual legacy.
