

Yvon Chartrand iaf.
Born in Asbestos, on July 15 1949, he inherits a passion for drawing from his paternal grandfather who initiates him to the observation of nature. In the 60s, he has his first exhibition at Centre Culturel d’Asbestos showing a series of oil pastels, inks and graphite drawings. Acting on different Boards of Directors at exhibitions centre and museums, he mixes with many renowned Quebecois painters such as Albert Rousseau, Arthur Villeneuve and Marcel Fecteau. In 2005, he obtains the prestigious title of «Master» from International Artist.
He is acknowledged by its peers, in 2006, by becoming member of the Institute of Figurative Art (I.F.A.) and of its Board of Directors. His work is found in collections of companies and particulars in Quebec, Canada, France and United States. This notability is the result of a researched artistic work.
